I am a Royal Society University Research Fellow in astronomy at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) since May 2025. My main interest is in understanding planet formation, as we attempt to interpret the diverse properties of the nearly 6000 discovered exoplanets (planets around other stars). I am particularly interested in the galactic context for planet formation, and answering the question:
How does the large scale star formation environment influence the planets that eventually form, including our own Solar System?
I studied Mathematics & Physics and Warwick University (2011-2015), then completed my PhD at the Institute of Astronomy supervised by Prof. Cathie Clarke at the University of Cambridge in 2019. Since then, I have been a post-doc at the University of Leicester and Humboldt Fellow at the Zentrum für Astronomie at Heidelberg University, Marie Curie Fellow at the OCA in Nice and visiting Max Planck Institut für Astronomie in Heidelberg until May 2025.
